Al-Qassam Sergap Israeli Troops In Gaza Inside Barracks Full Of Mines

JAKARTA - The armed wing of the Hamas fighter group, the Al-Qassam Brigade, said it had ambushed Israeli troops at the location of the Saad Sayel barracks, eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Citing Antara, the Al-Qassam Brigade said its fighters ambushed Zionist troops after detonating a previously prepared minefield inside the Saad Sayel barracks in eastern Rafah.

The Al-Qassam Brigade fighters also carried out military operations near the Al-Dawa Mosque, which is located east of Rafah.

The operation involved targeting a building housing several Israeli soldiers with TBG bullets, attacking a troop transport vehicle under the building with Yassin 105 bullets, and deploying anti-personnel shells along with a full attack on a group of Israeli soldiers stationed near a tank.

The attack resulted in several casualties, according to the Al-Qassam Brigade.

The Al-Qassam Brigade is also targeting Israeli Merkava tanks with Yassin 105 bullets in the Abu Halawa area, east of Rafah City.

In a separate statement, the brigade said fierce clashes were taking place between Palestinian resistance factions and Israeli forces who broke into the eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military on Friday claimed to have intercepted two missiles fired from the southern Gaza Strip.

In a statement, it was stated that Israeli air defense fighters intercepted two missiles passing from Rafah to the area around Gaza.

The Al-Qassam Brigade confirmed the attack, and noted that it opened fire on the military location of the Kerem SALom in eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip with a heavy-caliber mortar.

Medical sources told Anadolu that Israeli artillery planes and vehicles continued to bomb various areas in Rafah City, resulting in casualties among Palestinians.

Witnesses also told Anadolu that Israeli artillery targeted around an east taxi base in the center of the Rafah with a number of bullets, while Israeli forces penetrating the east of the city blew up several houses.

Witnesses also reported that Israeli planes bombed a house in the Khirbat Al- Adas area in northern Rafah.

Medical sources at Kuwait Hospital said, over the past 24 hours, at least nine people were killed and 17 others were injured as a result of Israeli attacks that continued in Rafah.

In the neighboring town of Khan Yunis, Israeli planes bombed a house that killed eight Palestinians, including women and children, according to a medical source at a European Hospital in the city.

In Gaza City, fierce clashes have occurred since Thursday morning (9/5) between Palestinian resistance factions and Israeli forces in the Al-Zaytoon neighborhood, southeast of the city, according to eyewitnesses.

Israel has hit the Gaza Strip in retaliation for a Hamas-led attack in October last year, which Tel Aviv claimed killed fewer than 1,200 victims.

Meanwhile, as a result of Israeli attacks, more than 34,900 Palestinians were killed in Gaza, and more than 78,500 people were injured, according to Palestinian health authorities.
