Sufmi Dasco Confused There Is A Discourse On The Addition Of The Ministry To 40

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, admitted that he was confused by the news of the addition of the ministerial nomenclature in the Prabowo-Gibran era from 34 to 40.

Dasco emphasized that until now there has been no cabinet discussion by the elected President, Prabowo Subianto. Because the general chairman of Gerindra is still focused on preparing a plan to realize his campaign programs. "Well, I am also confused. But until now Pak Prabowo is still focused on designing the promised program promises in the campaign. For the nomenclature, the ministry does not yet exist," said Dasco in Jakarta, Thursday, May 9. He assessed that the discourse was input and aspirations for the Prabowo-Gibran government to increase the number of ministries. Moreover, to increase the nomenclature of the ministry, a revision of the Ministry Law must be carried out.

"Yes, there is no (discussion in the DPR) yet, that's why I am confused. So yes, we just consider it aspirations, input," said the Deputy Speaker of the DPR.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party, Habiburokhman, considered it natural for the number of ministries to be increased. Because according to him, Indonesia is a large country, so it needs help from many parties.

"In the context of a large number of countries, it means big, for me it's a good country, our country is a big country. Our challenges are big, our targets are big," said Habiburokhman when met at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, May 6. Habiburokhman assessed that the increasing number of ministries is actually good for government and public services because Indonesia has a big target as well as challenges to achieve.

"It's natural that we need to gather a lot of people, gather in the government so that it becomes big," he added.
