Menkumham's Striking Answer Yasonna: SBY-AHY Don't Accuse The Government Of The Democrat Issue

JAKARTA - Minister of Law and Human Rights (Menkumham) Yasonna H. Laoly asked the Chairman of the High Council of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the General Chairperson of the Democrats Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) not to accuse the government of being baseless about siding with the holding of the Extraordinary Congress KLB).

"I ordered this to one of the Democrat officials yesterday. I ordered, please Pak SBY and AHY, not to accuse the government of this, this government," said Yasonna to reporters at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta on Tuesday, March 9.

Yasonna is committed, KemenkumHAM will be objective and professional in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations in addressing the coup issue of the Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko against the AHY leadership in the Democrats.

"Just write, we are objective. Do not play attacks that have no basis," he said.

Yasonna also emphasized that the Democrats of the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) Moeldoko had not submitted the KLB results to get approval from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

"Later when the KLB comes, we will evaluate everything according to the statutes of the Democratic Party and the prevailing laws and regulations. That is important," said the PDIP politician.

Previously, in a joint working meeting with the DPR RI Baleg regarding the plan to issue the Election Bill from the Prolegnas 2021 list, the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly had joked.

Initially, the Democratic Party Faction was given the opportunity to present their views regarding the Election Bill and other bills related to the 2021 Prolegnas. The views of the Democratic Party Faction were conveyed by the Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPD) Santoso.

After delivering the views of the Democrat Party faction for almost 20 minutes, Santoso was then invited to provide a file of the faction's views.

Santoso moved to the table of Menkumham Yasonna Laoly to also hand over the view document.

When the Democrat Party Faction's viewpoint was handed over, Yasonna Laoly suddenly joked. He talked about the Democrat Party faction's point of view not being given directly by the Chairman of the Democratic Party Faction, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas).

"If this is a decree, it's already the faction leader (Ibas), yes," joked Yasonna.

Yasonna's joke is in the spotlight in the midst of the internal conflict within the Democrats.

As is known, the Democrat Party led by the Democratic Party Chairperson Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) submitted a decree to the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to prove the event claimed by the extraordinary congress (KLB) of the Democratic Party in Deli Serdang, North Sumatra, was illegal on Monday, March 8. When the SK was handed over, AHY had a chance to talk directly by Yasonna Laoly.
