1,530 BKO Personnel Will Help Secure The World Water Forum Route In Bali

JAKARTA - The 10th World Water Forum event in Bali, will take place on 18-25 May 2024. The Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the National Police said it would deploy 1,530 personnel under operational control (BKO) to assist the Bali Police in terms of security, route escort and parking.

"Korlantas deployed 2,446 personnel from the Ditlantas Nusantara, from Korlantas itself will be BKO 1,530 personnel to the Bali Police," said Head of Korlantas Polri (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Pol. Aan Suhanan in an apple for the release of the BKO Korlantas Polri team at NTMC Korlantas Polri, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, May 9.

In addition to personnel, he said, Korlantas Polri also deployed 310 units of two-wheeled and four-wheeled operational vehicles, both fossil and electric fuels.

For electric vehicles, he continued, they are used to escort and secure VVIP guests and at the level of head of state participants in the 10th World Water Forum.

"Why do we BKO electric vehicles, because for heads of state and at the level of heads of state or representing the head of state, to escort them using electric vehicles," he said.

In escorting this VVIP, Korlantas Polri joined the TNI as the controller of the operation. Meanwhile, the National Police is responsible for operating side event security from the 10th World Water Forum.

The National Police carried out Operation Puri Agung 2024 for 10 days from 17-26 May.

The BKO Korlantas Polri personnel will depart for Bali on May 10. Meanwhile, the operational vehicles that have been BKO have already been dispatched to Bali by land.

The 10th World Water Forum discusses several important issues, namely water conservation, clean water and sanitation, food and energy security, as well as natural disaster mitigation. The 10th WWF focuses on the concept of Water for Shared Prosperity or Water for Joint Prosperity. The meeting of global leaders will discuss water problems and seek solutions to improve water management. The prestigious international event carries six main sub-themes this year, namely water security and well-being, water for humans and nature, reduction and management of disaster risk, governance, cooperation, and hydro-demployment, sustainable water financing, and knowledge and innovation.

As a result, this forum will issue a Ministerial Declaration aka Declaration which will be followed by real joint projects, initiatives, and actions.
