Mahfud MD Answers The Question Of The FPI Laskar, The Suspect, Despite His Death: He Lured The Police To Violence

JAKARTA - The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD explained the reason for the police to have appointed six FPI laskar as suspects even though they had been shot dead by the police team.

Mahfud needs to explain this because many parties tease the government. According to Mahfud, assigning a suspect to a deceased person is limited to legal construction.

"There is public laughter, many people make fun of it, make fun of it. Why are dead people made suspects by the police? It's only legal construction, after which the case is declared null and void," Mahfud said in a Youtube broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat, Tuesday, March 9.

Mahfud said the legal construction of the Komnas HAM investigation showed that the six members of the FPI laskar provoked the authorities to act during the incident at the Cikampek toll road some time ago. This is what causes them to become suspects.

"The FPI Laskar lured the security forces to commit acts of violence and carry weapons. There is evidence of the weapons, there are projectiles. In fact, the Komnas HAM report also has the telephone number of the person who gave the command," Mahfud said.

So, from the determination of this suspect, the investigation continues to find out who killed the six FPI laskar. Currently, Komnas HAM has found three police officers who shot the laskar.

"Then who killed these 6 people? We will open it in court," said Mahfud.

Therefore, Mahfud asked TP3 or any party with other evidence to show it during the legal process.

"Tell it through Komnas HAM, if you are in doubt about the police or the prosecutor's office. But, we see that Komnas HAM is quite complete," he concluded.
