KPK Schedules Examination Of The Secretary General Of The DPR Indra Iskandar

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK has scheduled an examination of the Secretary General of the DPR, Indra Iskandar, today. The examination relates to the handling of cases of alleged corruption in the procurement of goods and services in the DPR.

"Today at the KPK's Red and White building, the investigative team has scheduled the summons and examination of witnesses (one of them), Indra Iskandar (Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri in his statement, Wednesday, May 8.

In handling the case, there is one other witness who is also scheduled to provide information, namely, Andrias Catur Prasetya as Project Manager of PT. Integra Indocabinet.

The KPK was originally to have searched a number of places in handling the case, one of which was the workspace of the Secretary General of the DPR RI Indra Iskandar.

The results of the search found documents to evidence of transactions related to allegations of corruption in the procurement of official housing equipment for members of the DPR.

"Evidence was found and secured, among others, in the form of project work documents, electronic devices including financial transactions in the form of transfers of money that are strongly suspected of having links to the roles of the parties designated as suspects," said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK investigated allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

A total of seven people have been prevented from leaving the country in this case. From the information gathered, they are the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar; Head of the Rumjab Management Section of the DPR Hiphi Hidati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who are private.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and inflating the budget or mark-up.
