Bring 2 Ammunition Pills Through PLBN Skouw Jayapura, Papua New Guinea Women Become Suspects

JAKARTA - Investigators of the Jayapura City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Papua have named Joyce Sino (41 years old) as a suspect in possession of two rounds of ammunition.

"It is true that at this time various suspects have been named and detained at the Jayapura City Police Headquarters," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Jayapura City Police Commissioner Agus Pombos in Jayapura, Tuesday, May 7, confiscated by Antara.

This Papua New Guinea (PNG) woman, continued Agus, was subject to Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951.

Admittedly, currently five witnesses have been questioned from Customs and Excise officers, members of the National Police and Battalion 122/TS Task Force who served at the Skouw State Border Post (PLBN), Muara Tami District, Jayapura City.

Suspect Joyce was arrested while entering Indonesian territory via PLBN Skouw, Saturday, May 4. He was arrested by officers for carrying two rounds of 5.56 mm caliber ammunition in his wallet.

Initially the Customs and Excise officer who served in the X Ray section was suspicious and after being examined it turned out that the object was two rounds of ammunition.

"The suspect admitted that the ammunition belonged to his son who was found in a military area in Vanimo and was carried away when he entered the Skouw PLBN," said Agus Pombos.

According to him, to ensure this information, his party is still investigating it to reveal it further.

"Investigators have also confirmed to the PNG Consulate in Jayapura that the suspect is a PNG citizen," said Kompol Agus Pombos.
