Undergoing Treatment In Singapore, Andi Arief Needs A Heart Donor For Transplantation

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Bappilu Democratic Party, Andi Arief, is suffering from a liver disease. He needs a heart donation for a transplant.

The information was conveyed by the Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Jansen Sitindaon, who said that Andi is currently undergoing intensive treatment at the hospital due to his illness.

"All of my friends, Bang Andi Arief, are sick," Jansen said via his X account, Tuesday, May 7.

According to Jansen, Andi's illness was suffered by the Minister of SOEs for the period 2011-2014 Dahlan Iskan and the scholar alhamrhum Nurcholish Madjid alias Cak Nur.

"The pain is similar to that experienced by Mr. Dahlan Iskan, Cak Nur in the past, etc. He needs a donor heart for a transplant," he said.

Jansen also prayed that Andi would immediately get a heart donation so that the health recovery process would gradually return.

"Hopefully the donor will get it soon and the recovery process will run smoothly. Let's pray for health to be given back to our democratic fighters," he said.

In an upload on the X account, Andi Arief also reported that he was in the liver transplant room of the National University Center for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT) located in Singapore.

"Not everything in life we can control and achieve, in the end we have to accept reality," Andi said in his X account.
