MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution promised to immediately find funds to pay incentives for health workers who handle COVID-19. This payment is mainly for health workers at RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Medan who have not received seven months of incentives. "One of the main things we do now and the fastest is incentives for health workers", said Bobby Nasution in Medan as quoted by Antara, Monday, March 8.

Bobby Nasution said the Medan City Government had asked the Health Service and the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency to immediately process the search for incentive funds for health workers. "We are currently processing the late payment yesterday", he said.

Separately, the Head of the Ombudsman Representative for North Sumatra Abyadi Siregar said that the incentive funds for health workers funds that are disbursed only around IDR 3.1 billion from total funds of IDR 15 billion that was received by Medan City Government for incentives for health workers. So there is a remaining of IDR 12 billion, which is included in SILPA (remaining more budget financing)", he said.

The Ombudsman will oversee the distribution of incentives for health workers involved in handling COVID-19 in Medan City.
