JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) asked to reschedule the inaugural trial of the pretrial lawsuit filed by Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali today. The letter has been sent to the South Jakarta District Court (PN) by the KPK Legal Bureau Team.
"The information we received was that the KPK Legal Bureau Team had sent a letter to the South Jakarta District Court asking for a rescheduling of the trial," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Monday, May 6.
Ali explained that there is still administration that the legal team must take care of against Ahmad Muhdlor. However, he did not specify anything.
"Currently the team is still preparing the administration of the trial which still needs time to complete it," he said.
The South Jakarta District Court held a pretrial hearing proposed by Sidoarjo Regent Ahmad Muhdlor Ali on Monday, April 22 with case number: 49/Pid.Pra/2024/PN JKT.SEL. He fought the anti-corruption commission because he was named a suspect in alleged corruption in cutting incentives.
