The Natural Resources Conservation Center of South Kalimantan Province (BKSDA South Kalimantan) is now monitoring the crocodile's appearance.
Acting Head of South Kalimantan BKSDA Suwandi when confirmed in Banjarmasin, Saturday, said that based on community reports, wild crocodiles initially appeared on the coast of Bunati Beach on Friday, May 3.

Suwandi said the crocodile may have escaped from its natural habitat around Tanah Bumbu and Tanah Laut Regencies.
According to him, there are several locations that are habitat for crocodiles in Tanah Bumbu Regency and its surroundings. It is suspected that a crocodile appeared on the beach because it wanted to find food at the mouth of the river and around the coast.

He has also instructed the ranks to put up appeal banners in the area where crocodiles appear so that people limit their activities for a while while waiting for treatment from officers.
Suwandi said officers were closely monitoring a crocodile that had made the community around Bunati Beach restless.
"When we find it, we will immediately return this crocodile to its original habitat which is still good," he concluded.
