The Head of Public Relations of the Central Kalimantan Police, Kombes Erlan Munaji, said that of the 13 perpetrators who were arrested, five of them were positive for using drugs.
"The 13 perpetrators were arrested and after the investigation, investigators named 10 looters as suspects with the initials UM, SN, NR, IG, PL, DN, BR, AR, SK, and DN, the rest are still undergoing examination," Erlan said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 3.
Before launching the action, the perpetrators used drugs in order to increase stamina in carrying out the looting of palm oil.
For his actions, the 10 suspects have also been detained at the Mako Battalion B Pioneer of the Brimob Unit of the Central Kalimantan Police.
"To account for their actions, the suspects are subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a weighted penalty of seven years in prison," he said.

With the theft carried out by the suspects, it was emphasized that the police had deeply disturbed palm oil companies that had been operating in several districts in Central Kalimantan.
"I hope this kind of incident doesn't happen again. If it still happens, of course the police will not remain silent because this act is an unlawful act," said Erlan.
