Rahayu Saraswati Akui No Directives From Prabowo Maju Pilkada 2024

JAKARTA - Gerindra politician Rahayu Saraswati responded to the plan to nominate her as a regional head candidate in the upcoming 2024 Pilkada. Rahayu admits that until now there has been no directive from the General Chair of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto. "I have no direction yet. Because indeed if the Pilkada is fully prerogative in Mr. Prabowo Subianto as the current general chairman," said Rahayu, Wednesday, May 1. Prabowo's nephew explained that the Gerindra Party would indeed prioritize internal cadres to advance in the Pilgub, Pilwakot or gubernatorial election. Therefore, said Rahayu, his party is still working on the name that deserves to be championed in the election. "In Gerindra it is as stated by Mr. Sufmi Dasco, that we will prioritize internal cadres first. So we will do a filter, we will conduct an evaluation, and also an election from within our own cadre first," he said.

"The question is who is advancing where there is no official list yet. So we have not dared to give any information," he continued.

Even so, Rahayu admitted that he was ready if Gerindra was assigned to run as a candidate for regional head. Including being a candidate for governor.

"If we are in Gerindra, we are educated as political fighters. So if for example the state calls, wherever we are assigned we must be ready," he concluded.
