JAKARTA - Fraudsters in the mode of ticket confirmation letters sent via Whatsapp short messages are now rife. The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya said there are several characteristics to ensure their authenticity.

Through the Instagram account @tmcpoldametro, Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Latif Usman conveyed that in the original ticket confirmation letter there were several statements, one of which was the time and location of the violation.

"Here there is a photo, there can be a click on the image, and when it violates it," Latif said as quoted on Thursday, May 2.

The ticket confirmation letter sent via Whatsap is the development of the enforcement scheme. Where, Polda Metro Jaya also created a system called Cakra Presisi.

The system supports sending ticket notifications via SMS, Whatsapp, and email to violators. Thus, traffic law enforcement becomes more efficient.

"This system makes traffic law enforcement more efficient because direct notification is sent on the same day when there is a complete violation with details," wrote the account @tmcpoldametro.

It is known that fraudulent acts in the mode of ETLE ticket confirmation have occurred. The perpetrators sent letters via Whatsapp in the form of Android Package Kit (APK) format.
