AHY Accompanied Jokowi Handing Over 10,323 Land Certificates In Banyuwangi

BANYUWANGI - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to hand over 10,323 electronic land certificates resulting from land redistribution symbolically in Banyuwangi Regency, East Java.

"Today, 10,323 land certificates have been handed over to the people of Banyuwangi, to 8,633 families (KK) from 17 villages throughout Banyuwangi Regency," AHY said while giving a speech at the handover of Land Certificates for the People of East Java Province in Banyuwangi as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 30.

AHY hopes that the land certificate submitted in Banyuwangi can improve the economy of the local community.

"Later on, your land can be increased, God willing, if the certificate is clear," said AHY

Even so, AHY appealed that if there are people who want to pawn their land certificates, they should be used for essential purposes, especially in supporting business capital.

AHY also conveyed that with the land certificate, the community has legal certainty about the land so that it cannot be seized by irresponsible parties.

"The land certificate handed over is an electronic certificate. This is an implementation of the President's direction to massively encourage electronic certificates," explained AHY.

AHY said the Banyuwangi people had controlled the land within the forest area by descending Temurun since 1938. After 85 years the status of the forest area has been released by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry through the issuance of the Blue SK at the end of 2023.

"So that the land managed by the community has economic benefits and as a follow-up to the direction of the President of the Ministry of ATR/BPN to certify the community's land through the land redistribution program," said AHY.

Meanwhile, President Joko Widodo asked the recipients of land certificates so that if they pawn the certificates at the bank, the funds obtained are used as a whole for positive things such as business capital.

"This can be used as collateral, this is for guarantees to be brought to the bank, it's okay. Go to the bank, get Rp. 30 million, thank God. For guarantees, it's okay, but if you get (the funds) use 100 percent for business," said Jokowi.
