Killer Husband In Kansas Uses Wife Insurance Money To Buy Sex Dolls

JAKARTA - Colby Trickle, the alleged perpetrator of the murder of his wife, reportedly used his wife's life insurance money to buy a sex doll. The investigation into this murder case is still being investigated by the police.

Reporting from CBS News, Tuesday, April 30, the alleged murder case occurred in 2019. At that time, Trickle called 911 saying his wife Kristen Trickle (26) shot herself at their home in Kansas, United States (US).

At that time, Sergeant Brandon Hauptman from the Hays Police Department became a 911 officer who responded. After talking to Colby Trickle, he became suspicious. Hauptman wondered if Colby Trickle had anything to do with his wife's death.

But three days later,appropriation officer, Dr. Maria Noordhoek, declared Kristen Trickle's death a suicide. Colby Trickle is free to continue his life, but investigators continue to handle the case.

Detective Joshua "JB" Burkholder told Erin hours' "48 Hours" correspondent, "There is a mourning process that in my opinion everyone has to go through when a loved one dies," he said.

Colby Trickle is also known to have ordered this type of doll just months later his wife's death. "Investigation of Colby Trickle's (money) expenditure is part of this week's new developments,"

When Kristen Trickle's aunt, Delynn Rice, heard about the doll, she told him, "I'm surprised he will use Christian life insurance money for a sex doll. It feels like he bought a replacement with his money."

Ellis County Assistant Prosecutor Aaron Cunningham told "48 Hours" Colby Trickle spent an entire USD 120,000 insurance in about eight months.

In addition to buying a sex doll the original size, he also spent thousands of dollars on video games, paying off debts, and buying musical supplies in the hope of becoming an artist.

Colby Trickle will be out for nearly two years while investigators file a case against him.

Hauptman told "48 Hours" he saw Colby Trickle right after he reported Kristen Trickle had shot himself in the head.

Hauptman said that although Colby Trickle seemed saddened by his wife's death, there were certain things he thought were unusual. Kristen Trickle only wore underwear and she told "48 Hours" although that happened, it was unusual for women to commit suicide that caused facial injuries. Hauptman added that the gun found at the scene was most likely fired by other people
