The KPK Council Calls No Albertina Ho Violations As Reported By Nurul Ghufron

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Tumpak Hatorangan Panggabean said his member, Albertina Ho, did not just coordinate with the Financial Analysis and Transaction Report Center (PPATK) to investigate the odd transaction of the prosecutor with the initials IT.

This was conveyed by Tumpak when asked about the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Nurul Ghufron, reporting Albertina Ho, who is a member of the Supervisory Board to the KPK Supervisory Board. In carrying out his duties, Albertina has pocketed a letter of assignment.

"Oh yes, there is (his assignment letter, ed). That's the duty of the Council. That assignment," said Tumpak to reporters at the ACLC KPK Building, Rasuna Said, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 24.

Tumpak even considered that there was nothing wrong with Albertina's coordination. "What violates ethics? There are no violations there," he said.

The former KPK leader did not want to talk much about the report submitted by Ghufron. Tumpak also did not want to speculate that this report was related to the alleged ethical violations being handled.

It is known that Ghufron stumbled upon ethical problems and will be tried on May 2. He is suspected of abusing his position to take care of employee mutations at the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).

"I don't know that. Just ask him, does he make the letter have anything to do with it, I don't know," he said.

As previously reported, Nurul Ghufron has reported a member of the supervisory board to the KPK Supervisory Board. He suspects there is abuse of authority.

"As a member of the KPK, I have an obligation as stipulated in Article 4 paragraph (2) letter b of Perdewas No. 3 of 2021 states: in implementing the basic values of integrity, every member of the Commission is obliged to report if they know of any alleged ethical violations committed by the Commission Personnel," said Nurul Ghufron to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, April 24.

Ghufron said the alleged abuse of authority reported was in the form of a request for the results of the analysis of financial transactions of anti-corruption commission employees. He said the KPK Council was not authorized because it was not law enforcement officials.
