PPP Feels Honored If Invited To Join Prabowo's Government

JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) is honored if President-elect Prabowo Subianto invites to join his government cabinet.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi in response to the narrative of unity echoed by Prabowo after receiving his determination as elected president for the 2024-2029 period from the KPU.

Especially after the determination, Prabowo immediately visited PKB and received cooperation from all parties. Even so, Baidowi said that until now there has been no discussion about this.

"Yes, it is definitely an honor to invite his name, but until now there has been no invitation, it has not been officially invited," Baidowi said, Thursday, April 25.

The man who is familiarly called Awiek agrees with the unity after the election. According to him, all elements of the nation must work hand in hand to build Indonesia, either outside or within the government.

"Indeed, everything will be later, all elements of the nation work hand in hand to this nation. About then there are those outside the cabinet who are in the cabinet, that's part of the dynamics of democracy, that's the beauty of democracy in Indonesia," said Awiek.

He said checks and balances must continue to run for the welfare of the Indonesian people. PPP, he said, when it was finished the contest, did reunite to build a country together.

"Check and balances are still running for the common good for the welfare of the Indonesian people. PPP adheres to political schools with different opinions once every 5 years, on its way after the election, we have returned to being the nation's children to build a future," he continued.

But once again, Awiek said, PPP did not want to precede. Because there has been no invitation from the elected president.

"His name is invited to build a nation, it must be an honor, but we don't want to precede," he concluded.

Previously, the President-elect and General Chair of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto, received a statement from PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin who wanted to continue working with his party both in Parliament and in government.

Prabowo received this statement when he visited the PKB DPP office yesterday.

"I am very proud, I am very grateful that I was invited here and I accept the statement that PKB wants to continue working with Gerindra with Prabowo Subianto to serve in the interests of all of our people," said Prabowo at the PKB DPP office, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 24.

Prabowo emphasized that the people expect unity and cooperation for a better future for Indonesia. He said that the 2024 election was over and it was time for all parties to work for the people.

"We want to work together to do as much as possible for the good and interests of our people, our country has extraordinary potential," he said.
