JAKARTA Bluesky launched a number of updates on Tuesday, March 11. Thanks to this update, the duration of the video has increased and users have the option to select incoming message requests.

This update is available in version 1.99. Previously, Bluesky users could only upload videos with a duration limit of one minute. However, now the duration has been increased to three minutes so users no longer need to cut videos to upload them.

"The 1.99 version is being launched. People say it's impossible, but we managed to solve the technology: The video can now last up to 3 minutes," Bluesky said in a post on his official account.

In addition to announcing an increase in video duration, Bluesky also introduced a tool to reduce spam in chat rooms, namely Chat Request. This feature is very similar to the one on platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

With the Chat Request feature, users can set who they want to chat with. If someone submits a request for a message and the user finds the message annoying, they can refuse their request.

"In addition to tools to reduce spam DM, we have also added a new Chat Request screen for messages from unknown users. You can receive or reject new conversations here," Bluesky explained.

Finally, Bluesky also adds the ability to mute the account. Users can immediately mute the account through the posts they see. They only need to tap on the three-dot icon in the top left corner of the post, then select Bisukan Account.

The ability to mute this account also exists on X and its function is no different. When an account is muted, all posts or account activities will not pass back on the user's Timeline, but these accounts can still be followed and follow back.
