JAKARTA - Military Court III-14 Denpasar heard four cases related to military criminal offenses at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court (PN), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Military Oditur III-14 Denpasar Lt. Col. Chk Dewa Putu Martin explained that his party held a trial of these four cases for two days by borrowing the courtroom of the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court.

"So, we will hold four cases related to military criminal offenses starting today until Wednesday (April 24) tomorrow," said Dewa in Mataram, NTB, Tuesday, April 23, as quoted by Antara.

The four cases were submitted by Dewa including the crime of persecution, desertion, and not being present without permission (THTI) with the accused TNI personnel who served in the NTB area.

"The same persecution has been completed today. Later on Wednesday (April 24) tomorrow there will be two THTI cases," he said.

He explained that today's trial was one of the cases of the desertion of Indonesian Air Force personnel who served at the Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport Air Base (BIZAM).

He emphasized that the issue of desertion or leaving the unit for more than 30 days has been included in the military criminal realm.

"In the military regulation, it is clear that leaving the unit for more than 30 days has been a military crime," he said.

Dewa conveyed that his party's goal was to hold a military criminal trial in Mataram to speed up the process of resolving cases.

"So, from this military crime there is a program every year called the acceleration of case settlement by going directly to the place where the defendant is on duty," said Dewa.

The military courts that heard these four military criminal cases were Lt. Col. Chk M Rizal as chairman with members of Captain Hendra Aritha and First Lieutenant Chk Damai Crivelianto.
