JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta Province opened the recruitment of members of the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Election Election Committee (PPK) on 27 November.
Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU HR and Research and Development Division Muhammad Tarmizi said that the registration of PPK members was carried out by open selection with the registration period on April 23 to 29, 2024.
"I invite the public to participate by becoming a member of the PPK. This selection is open to all eligible residents of DKI Jakarta," Tarmizi said in his statement, Tuesday, April 23.
Registration of the ad hoc body of the election organizer is carried out online based on the website application, namely the KPU Member Information System and the Adhoc Agency (SIAKBA) as previously applied in the selection. Furthermore, the KPU conducted administrative research on candidates for PPK members from April 24 to May 3, 2024 and a list of candidates who passed was announced on May 4-5, 2024.
"Registrants who pass the administrative selection will take part in a written selection on May 6-8, 2024 using a Computer Assisted Test (CAT) and the results will be announced on May 9-10, 2024. We will ask for responses and include the public with this PPK candidate on May 4-10, 2024," he explained.
Then, the selection of interviews for PPK candidates will be held on May 11-13, 2024 and the results will be announced on May 14-15, 2024. Candidates for PPK members from the selection will be set on May 15, 2024 and sworn in on May 16, 2024.
The following are the registration requirements documents for the 2024 Pilkada PPK candidates: a. Indonesian citizen; b. at the lowest age 17 years; c. loyal to Pancasila as the basis of the state, the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the ideals of the proclamation of August 17, 1945; d. have integrity, a strong, honest, and fair person; e. not being a member of a political party declared with a valid statement letter, or at least 5 years of no longer being a member of a political party as evidenced by a certificate from the management of the political party concerned; f. domiciled in the working area PPK;g. physically, mentally, and free from narcotics abuse;h. The lowest education of middle school or equivalent; andi. never convicted of imprisonment based on a court decision that has obtained permanent legal force for committing a crime that is threatened with imprisonment of 5 years or more.
