Prabowo Respects Opinion Dissenting 3 Constitutional Court Judges

Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran as well as Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, said that the elected president Prabowo Subianto respected the different views or dissenting opinions of the three constitutional judges in the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) regarding the 2024 presidential election dispute.

Muzani said Prabowo respects this different view because it is a right attached to the constitutional judge.

"He respects it as a right owned by constitutional judges to exercise their rights in the trial," said Muzani at the TKN media center, South Jakarta, Monday, April 22.

In fact, continued Muzani, Prabowo listened carefully to the different views of the three constitutional judges. Prabowo, he said, also looked at the views conveyed by the 01 and 03 camps as the applicant.

"That's why he always listens to these thoughts well, both those conveyed by friends from 01 or those conveyed by friends from 03," said Muzani.

Secretary of TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Nusron Wahid, admitted that he respects the dissenting opinion of the three judges of the Constitutional Court. According to him, dissenting opinion is a right inherent in constitutional judges.

"And what is called a dissenting opinion, there is no follow-up. It's also called an opinion, which does not affect the decision, we just respect it," said Nusron.

He emphasized that the judge's decision was a unanimous unit, whether there was a dissenting opinion or not.

"The nature of the decision is that the decision does not affect the strength of the decision, it does not then mean that if the decision is a dissenting opinion the decision becomes flawed, no," he said.

The Constitutional Court has decided to reject the Ganjar-Mahfud camp's petition regarding the Dispute over the General Election Results (PHPU) of the President and Vice President 2024.

"Reject the applicant's application in its entirety," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo.

In this decision, there are three constitutional judges who state dissenting opinions or differences of opinion. They are Saldi Isra, Enny Nurbaningsih, and Arief Hidayat.
