Security Of The Presidential Election Dispute Decision Session At The Constitutional Court: Police Alert 7,783 Personnel

Polda Metro Jaya has alerted 7,783 personnel to secure the presidential election dispute decision trial (Pilpres) or the 2024 election, including the activity of expressing opinions around the Constitutional Court Building, Monday (22/4).

"We divided them into several sectors, including the Constitutional Court sector, the Indonesian Bawaslu sector and the National Monument sector," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, quoted by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday.

Then, continued Ade Ary, traffic engineering will be situational depending on conditions on the ground.

However, he emphasized that if the escalation increases and this action is needed, the police will divert traffic flow.

"So, we urge people who will pass in front of the Constitutional Court Building to look for other alternative roads because there will be an action to express opinions in front of the Constitutional Court building," he said.

He also appealed to the participants of the demonstration to pay attention to the rights of other communities.

"Of course, other people's rights must be considered, so that the rules in the law provide opinions in public, please obey them," he said.

Ade Ary also reminded all personnel involved in security to always act persuasively, not provoked, prioritize negotiations, humane and carry out tasks according to procedures.

He also invited all elements of society to always maintain security and order, harmony and national unity.

"Let us together maintain the unity and integrity of the nation, do not be divided as a result of provocative hoax news and let us pray to create a safe, peaceful and dignified Indonesia," he said.

Meanwhile, the Constitutional Court (MK) is scheduled to read out the decision on the 2024 Presidential Election Result Dispute (PHPU) case on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 09.00 WIB in the second floor trial room of the Indonesian Constitutional Court Building, Jakarta.

Referring to the schedule, the constitutional judge will read out the verdict for the presidential election dispute filed by Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md simultaneously on the same day.
