It's Hard To Stay At The Chicken Cage, The Motorcycle Thief Is Still Caught By The Residents

JAKARTA - The man with the initials YY (32) had to undergo a legal process because it was found that residents carried out theft in the Karet area, Tanah Abang. In fact, he had tried to escape by hiding in a chicken coop.

"The suspect was arrested when the suspect hid in the cage of a resident's chicken," said Tanah Abang Police Chief AKBP Aditya to reporters, Saturday, April 20.

The man's action began when he arrived in the Karet area, Tanah Abang. From the start YY won, he intended to steal.

At that time, the suspect saw a motorbike parked on the terrace of one of the houses. Without thinking, YY immediately tried to steal it.

"The suspect immediately used his motorbike's ignition key to turn the victim's motorbike on. However, when tried, the ignition key could not turn around so the suspect carried the victim's motorbike by guiding him," he said.

The theft went smoothly without obstacles. But, bad luck came to the suspect.

The victim's colleague recognized the motorbike that YY guided. So, immediately shouted at him "thief".

"Hearing this, the suspect immediately took the ignition key and threw it away and the suspect fled leaving the motorbike," said Aditya.

Suspect YY tried to escape from the pursuit of his fellow victim and decided to hide in a chicken coop. However, his efforts failed because his whereabouts remained known.

"Furthermore, the suspect and the evidence were brought to the police station for processing," said Aditya

In this case, YY was charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding theft by weight. He faces a maximum prison sentence of 7 years.
