PKB Officially Opens National Registration For Cakada 2024 Starting Today

JAKARTA - The PKB DPP officially opened the registration of candidates for regional heads (cakada) for the 2024 Pilkada both online and off-line starting today, Saturday, April 20. "PKB summoned the best sons and daughters to fill the governor and deputy governor candidates in 37 provinces throughout Indonesia as well as candidates for regent/deputy regent and vice mayor/deputy mayor in 508 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia," said the General Chairperson of the PKB DPP, Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin in a statement received on Saturday, April 20. Cak Imin claimed that the PKB's positioning was increasingly strategic and was taken into account in the 2024 Pilkada in line with the results of the 2024 Pileg which put the vote and seat of PKB up significantly in a number of regions. "At the 2024 Pilkada event, PKB will be the Main Supporter in 12 Provinces and 270 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia," he said. However, the number 1 vice presidential candidate emphasized that PKB is very open with other political forces to jointly form a coalition to develop regions. Cak Imin said, PKB is also very open with all figures regardless of the background of ethnicity, religion and race.

"PKB is also open to young figures who are fresh and visionary to innovate regional development. Including, in it are ideas of change to accelerate development in the regions," he said.

Cak Imin explained that the PKB Cakada screening process will be held by the Pilkada Decree at all levels with several stages, including a fit and proper test as well as a public test. This is intended to get quality, integrity and partiality to the progress of the people in the regions.

"The PKB DPP is committed, the entire Cakada PKB recruitment process will run in accordance with quality democratic principles," he concluded.
