Central Java Police: 1,416 Homecomers Violating Traffic Recorded By ETLE On Kalikangkung Toll Road

Central Java (Central Java) Regional Police noted that 1,416 homecomers were recorded to have violated traffic (traffic) based on ETLE camera footage installed at the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate during the homecoming and Eid al-Fitr 2024 period.

"Monitoring through a portable camera installed at the Kalikangkung toll gate during the Ketupat Candi Operation on April 4 to 16, 2024," said Director of Traffic and Traffic of the Central Java Police, Kombes Pol. Sonny Irawan in Semarang, Friday, April 19, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the number of violations during the homecoming and military flow is relatively balanced.

The types of violations caught on ETLE cameras, he said, include not wearing a seat belt and violating odd even rules during the homecoming and military flow.

"The origin of vehicles that commit violations varies from various regions," he said.

Furthermore, he said, the ETLE camera footage would be confirmed by officers to the owner of the vehicle suspected of committing the violation.

In general, he continued, the implementation of Operation Ketupat Candi 2024 went well and smoothly.

The flow of travelers using toll roads passing through the Central Java area this year was recorded at 471,208 vehicles.

"Up about 6.2 percent compared to 2023 which reached 443,000 vehicles," he said.

The number of traffic accidents during Operation Ketupat Candi, he continued, also decreased from 880 incidents in 2023 to 506 incidents in 2024.
