The Figure Of The Gerindra Version Of Cagub For Jakarta Who Is No Longer The Capital

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani also responded to DKI Jakarta, whose status is no longer the capital city of the country. According to Muzani, Jakarta will remain a barometer of national politics.

"Oh still, still. This area will still be important. Because even though this governmentally is no longer domiciled in Jakarta, this will become a center for economic activity and a center for economic growth activities that will encourage national growth and economy. So this is very important," said Muzani, Thursday, April 18.

In this context, Muzani then mentioned the figure of the cagub who fits the Gerindra version. Namely, figures who understand the economy, are capable and have high tolerance for all groups.

"Yes, people who personally have a vision about the economy, have flexibility in approaching all groups and can have high tolerance for all professions and circles," he said.

It is known that the DPR has ratified the Draft Law on the Special Region of Jakarta (RUU DKJ) as Law.

In the general section of the draft DKJ Bill as a law consisting of 12 chapters and 73 articles, it is stated that Jakarta no longer holds the title as a special area for the capital city or DKI after the birth of Law Number 3 of 2022 concerning the State Capital. The law has been amended by Law no. 21/2023.

The general provision states that the IKN Law has transferred the State Capital of the Republic of Indonesia from DKI Jakarta Province to IKN located in parts of Penajam Paser Utara and Kutai Kartanegara areas in East Kalimantan Province.
