The Former Head Of The Sukamiskin Headquarters Was Sent By The KPK To The Sukamiskin Prison

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) sent the former Head of Sukamiskin, Deddy Handoko, to the prison that was his responsibility, namely the Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung, West Java. He was proven to have accepted bribes from Tubagus Chaeri Wardhana alias Wawan, who was convicted in the Alkes corruption case.

This execution referred to the Decision of the Tipikor District Court on the Bandung District Court Number /Pid.Sus-TPK/2020/PN.Bdg dated 27 January 2021. Deddy was placed in the Class IA Sukamiskin Prison to serve a prison sentence of 4 years and 6 months reduced while in detention .

"The convict was found guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption in the form of accepting a bribe of 1 car from the convicted person, Radian Azhar," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his written statement, Friday, March 5.

Apart from serving a criminal sentence, Deddy was also required to pay a fine of Rp 200 million. With the provisions, said Ali, if the fine is not paid then it will be replaced by imprisonment for six months.

In this case, Deddy Handoko was involved in corruption related to a permit for medical treatment at the Sukamiskin Prison, Bandung, West Java. He helped the President Director of PT Glori Karsa Abadi Rahadian Azhar (RA) and Tubagus Chaeri Wardana alias Wawan, who at that time were prison residents.

Deddy took a bribe for a 2016 Toyota Kijang Innova Reborn Luxury 2.0 G AT from Wawan. The bribe was given by the convict to get permission to leave prison, both in the form of an extraordinary permit (ILB) and permission for treatment with a total of 36 permits in 2016 to 2018.
