Report Handling Homecoming 2024 To Vice President, Coordinating Minister For Human Development And Culture: For Example, The Number Of Accidents Has Decreased

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy submitted a report to Vice President Ma'ruf Amin regarding the handling of the 2024 homecoming service which was quite good.

"Earlier I stayed in touch with the Vice President, because at the beginning of Syawal I had not had time to ask him, including reporting the most actual things, especially according to my duties in coordinating the handling of the 2024 homecoming," said Muhadjir at the Vice President's residence in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, April 17, quoted by Antara.

On that occasion, Muhadjir as the coordinator of the 2024 homecoming service conveyed to the Vice President the results of the interim evaluation of a number of related ministries/agencies.

"Earlier I reported homecoming this year based on the results of a temporary evaluation by related ministries/agencies including the TNI-Polri, the handling is quite good, but of course the assessment will come from the community," he said.

The report submitted by Muhadjir includes an accident that triggered the victim to die and injury. In addition, Muhadjir also conveyed a number of evaluation materials from the implementation of this year's homecoming.

"Some services have improved compared to last year. For example, the number of accidents has decreased, the number of victims who died has decreased, the number of injured victims has also decreased," he said without mentioning the number of the incident.

According to Muhadjir, the decline in the number of travelers' accidents this year is also in line with the nominal compensation for victims from PT Jasa Raharja which fell by about 52 percent from the same period last year.

"Reports from Jasa Raharja's Managing Director of compensation issued compared to last year also decreased by around 52 percent," he said.

On that occasion, Muhadjir also reported a number of prominent incidents during the implementation of the homecoming, namely the collision at the KM58 contra flow route to the Jakarta Cikampek Toll Road, Monday, April 8, which caused 12 people in one vehicle to die.

Another incident was the Rosalia Indah bus accident on KM370A Semarang-Batang Toll Road, Thursday, April 11, which killed seven passengers.

"That's just a pretty prominent event. For other things, it's very normal. It means nothing special," he said.
