Gibran: The More Choices In The Surakarta Pilwalkot The Better

Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka stated that there are more options in the Surakarta Mayor Election (Pilwakot) to be better for the community.

"The more choices the better," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 16.

Regarding the selection of candidate leaders in Solo, Gibran assessed that many regional figures were good. However, Gibran did not mention who the figures deemed worthy of being his successor.

"Many figures are good," he said.

Regarding political parties, Gibran does not deny that PDIP is still a favorite for participants to participate in Pilwalkot.

"Oh yes, definitely," he said.

Meanwhile, several figures have begun to show interest in enlivening the Surakarta Mayor candidate exchange in the upcoming regional elections.

One of the figures planning to take the registration form is the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa.

"For my list, not yet. Maybe in the next two or three days, take a form first," he said.

Previously, in a survey conducted by one of the regional survey institutions, Teguh had a higher electability rate than several other figures. However, he was reluctant to overreact to the survey results.

He said whatever his future political steps depend on the decision of the political party that oversees him, namely PDIP.

"Depending on the party later, it's not my opinion as the secretary of the representative party, people will be judged," he said.
