Police Implement One Way To Drain Backflow From Garut To Bandung

Garut Resort Police have imposed a one-way system several times to drain the backflow of vehicles from Garut to Bandung on the national route across Limbangan, as well as the Leles-Kadungora cross-provincial route in Garut Regency, West Java, Sunday.

Head of the Garut Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Aang Andi Suhandi, said that the fourth day after Lebaran, the flow of vehicles on the national route was dominated by vehicles from Tasikmalaya to Bandung, so a drain was carried out to unravel the density on the route.

"We from the Lintapls Traffic Unit carried out efforts to drain vehicles from Tasik to Bandung so that there would be no accumulation of vehicles," said Aang.

He said the density of vehicle flow on the Malangbong-Limbangan national route had occurred since this morning, until noon it was also observed that it was still crowded.

Police efforts, he said, include draining the flow of vehicles by imposing one direction several times to overcome the buildup so that vehicles continue to move from both directions.

"Alhamdulillah, from this morning until this afternoon we have struggled eight times to drain from east to west with the 'one way' system," he said.

He conveyed that the increase in the flow of vehicles was recorded as a result of calculations from 09.00 to 12.00 WIB on the national route from Tasikmalaya to Bandung as many as 6,913 vehicles, while the opposite direction was far less than 3,013 vehicles.

The volume of vehicles on the provincial route across Kadungora from Garut to Tasikmalaya is also dominated by more vehicles heading to Bandung as many as 5,832 vehicles, while the direction to Garut is 4,128 vehicles.

There has been an increase in the route several times, one direction from Garut to Bandung, and the other way around with a duration of 15 minutes to 50 minutes.

"The Leles route will be carried out by 'one way' at 13.00-13.50 from Garut to Bandung, for the Tutugan Bawah 'ding' point for 50 minutes of 'one way' time," he said.
