3 People Have Died Due To DHF, Banjarmasin City Government: The Only One Who Can Avoid It Is Us Alone

JAKARTA - The City Government of Banjarmasin, is still setting a warning for Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) until April 2024 because the number of cases has increased. And now the bad news is that some have died. "This month (April 2024) there is one more person who died due to dengue fever," said the Head of the Banjarmasin Health Office, Tabiun Huda in Banjarmasin, Sunday, April 14, as reported by Antara. According to him, the total number of deaths due to the disease from the Aedes aegypti mosquito virus has become three people from January to April. For the case of dengue which was detected because they were hospitalized until now, he said, the number was 41 people.

"Almost all of them are hospitalized," he said. He said that they must continue to be aware of the increase in dengue cases, because of weather conditions that make rapid development of dengue mosquitoes. "This is because the weather changes, later it rains, it will heat up later. That is the cause of the increase in its breeding," said Tabiun. Therefore, he continued, it is very important for public awareness to jointly clean up their respective neighborhoods. What is certain, he said, is to apply 3M plus, namely Draining, Closing and recycling used goods, and preventing mosquito bites by using anti-magnetic liquids, eradicating larvae with larvae in puddles, and planting mosquito exhaust plants. "That can avoid our own dengue," said Tabiun.
