Vehicle Movement On The Trans Java Toll Road To Jakarta Is Still Empty

JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk stated that the movement of vehicles from Java to Jakarta via the Trans Java Toll Road was still empty on D+2 Idulfitri 1445 Hijri.

"This afternoon it is relatively quiet and there are no queues at the toll gate," said Jasa Marga Marketing and Communication Department Head Faiza Riani as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, April 12.

He said the movement of vehicles from East Java and Central Java to Jakarta was still empty.

"There is an increase in the number of vehicles but it is still not significant," he said.

He said on Thursday (11/4) the number of vehicles from the Trans Java Toll Road reached 35 thousand vehicles, an increase of 44 percent from normal conditions.

Jasa Marga predicts that the peak of backflow will occur on Sunday (14/4) and Monday (15/4) so that the Trans Java toll road will be crowded with vehicles.

He appealed to travelers to avoid the peak of the backflow by returning to Jakarta faster or who still have a vacation time could postpone their return until Tuesday (16/4).

"We are also still implementing a 20 percent toll rate discount for travelers returning home on Tuesday (16/4)," he said.

PT Jasa Marga recorded the number of vehicles heading to Jakarta from Friday to 12.00 WIB as many as 12,844 vehicles.

Meanwhile, vehicles from Jakarta to Java were recorded at 19,697 vehicles.

"Indeed, currently the number of vehicles to the east is still crowded and we urge you not to return to Jakarta at the same time," he said.
