Traffic Engineering One Way Cipali Toll Road Backflow Begins Today

JAKARTA - Astra Infra has started implementing traffic engineering (traffic) one way from the Cikopo-Palimanan (Cipali) Toll Road starting today, Friday, April 12, 2024. This is done to support the smooth return flow of the 2024 Eid holiday. Head of the Astra Infra Group Lebaran Task Force Rinaldi said that his party had prepared the implementation of traffic engineering which was situational according to the police discretion. "Together with the police, Astra Infra has planned to implement one-way traffic engineering on the Cipali Toll Road which will be implemented on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 08.00-24.00 WIB," said Rinaldi in his official statement, Friday, April 12. Then, one way traffic engineering will also be implemented on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 08.00-24.00 WIB and Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 14.00 to Tuesday, Rinaldi appealed to toll road users to pay attention to the speed limit on toll roads outside the city 100 km/hour when using the contraflow route or one way. To prevent overcrowding, travelers are advised to avoid the predicted date at the peak of the flow to travel, namely on April 14-15, 2024 according to predictions from the Korlantas Polri. In order to distribute traffic flow, his party implemented a toll tariff discount of 20 percent during the Lebaran return flow. This discount comes into effect on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 05.00 WIB until Friday, April 19, 2024 at 05.00 WIB (2 x 24 hours). "Discounts apply to all groups of vehicles crossing the Tangerang-Merak, Cikopo-Palimanan and Jombang-Mojokerto toll roads continuously [gate to gate] and for toll transactions using electronic money cards with sufficient balance," he said. Astra Infra also urges toll road users to always prioritize safety by maintaining vehicle speed limits and resting if they are tired, sleepy or have been driving for 4 hours in a row.

Road users are also advised to maintain facilities and rest quite a bit in the rest area. If the rest area is full, road users can also take advantage of rest areas outside toll roads to return home without additional costs. "This is of course done to support and create a pleasant, safe and comfortable journey for toll road users," he added.
