JAKARTA - The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) promised to take firm action against abuse of authority and activities that violate regional regulations.

One of them is about illegal parking that had been complained of by residents until it went viral. Because illegal parking charges an expensive tariff. That's what happened in the Jalan Sultan Agung area.

"Following up on public reports regarding parking rates that are not in accordance with the rules on Jalan Sultan Agung, the Bandung City Transportation Agency has reprimanded and fostered the parking attendant," said Acting Kadishub of Bandung City Asep Kuswara as quoted from the city government's official website, April 9.

Apart from Sultan Agung, the Bandung City Transportation Agency also combed several other roads. One of them is on Jalan Dalem Kaum.

"That's what parks on Jalan Dalem Kaum, illegal. Notebene on the sidewalk," he said,

However, the busy parking on social media set a price of IDR 20,000, Asep emphasized that according to the statement, it was not at this price.

"I have confirmed it, it turns out that it is not Rp. 20,000 but Rp. 10,000, motorcycle parking is Rp. 5,000 and helmets are Rp. 5,000 thousand," he said.

"In Perwal, there is no helmet storage. So, for example, the buffer zone, the central zone is included with a helmet. That's why for Bandung residents, don't park in places that don't match their designation," he said.

Apart from Sultan Agung and Dalem Kaum, Dishub also combed the Tamansari area, especially around Balur Town Square.

"I combed one of them in Sultan Agung, Baltos, Dalem Kaum, Kepatihan. So this looks like aji while. What does this city want if it can't be arranged," he said.

For this, Asep also apologized for the inconvenience felt by the community.

"We apologize for the inconvenience that has been experienced by the people of the city of Bandung," he said.

Asep appealed that if it happened it did not match parking rates or other violations. Immediately contact the Transportation Service, it can be through the official Instagram account @bdg.dishub.

In addition to that location, the Transportation Agency will also search other locations to immediately develop parking attendants.

It should be noted that parking rates in Bandung City are regulated in Mayor Regulation (Perwal) Number 66 of 2021.

Meanwhile, the tariff for motorized vehicles transporting box and pickup types in the parking zone of the suburbs is set at Rp. 3,000 per hour and every next hour plus Rp. 3,000. The provisions are the same for four-wheeled motorized vehicles, three-wheeled vehicles, sedans, and the like. As for motorcycles, the tariff is Rp. 2,000 and every next hour, plus Rp. 2,000.
