Bahlil Regarding Jokowi Being Prabowo's Special Advisor, Bahlil: Anything Possible Can Happen

JAKARTA - Investment Minister/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is very likely to become a special advisor for Prabowo Subianto who is the presidential candidate with the most votes. Everything can happen for the benefit of the nation and state.

This was conveyed by Bahlil in response to the statement of former PDI-P politician (PDIP) Maruarar Sirait who proposed President Jokowi to be Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka's special adviser.

"Yes, all that possibility can happen. It's possible that everything happened during the constitutional framework," Bahlil told reporters at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, Monday, April 8.

Meanwhile, regarding the formation of the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet, Bahlil felt that discussions with President Jokowi did not need to be carried out. This is because the name that will become a minister will be decided by the second pair after being inaugurated.

Bahlil believes that President Jokowi will not interfere. "That is the prerogative of the elected president," he said.

"Mr. President has been president twice. You know which prerogative the president has, which one is not," continued Bahlil.

As previously reported, Maruarar had a reason why Jokowi should be a special advisor to Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka. One of them is because of his experience ranging from the Mayor of Surakarta, the Governor of DKI Jakarta to the president for the 2014-2019 and 2019-2024 periods.

"Pak Jokowi will certainly provide input and become an advisor as an experienced person," said Maruarar, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

Not only that, Jokowi's input was deemed important because the number two pair would continue the current government work program.
