JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted, as many as 1,039,018 vehicles left the Jabotabek area on D-7 to D-3 Eid Al-Fitr 1445 Hijrah or Wednesday-Sunday period, 3-7 April 2024. This number is the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (direction to Merak), GT Ciawi (direction to Puncak), GT Cikampek Utama (direction to Trans Java) and GT Kalihurip Utama (direction to Bandung). "The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 51.77 percent compared to normal traffic of 684,610 vehicles. When compared to the Lebaran 2023 period, the total volume of this traffic was 6.70 percent or 973,804 vehicles," said the Marketing & Communication Department Head of Jasa Marga in a written statement, quoted Monday, April 8. The distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions, namely as many as 605,689 vehicles (58.29 percent) heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 264,905 vehicles (25.50 percent) heading West (Merak) and 168,424 vehicles (16.21 percent) heading South (Puncak). The details of the traffic distribution are as follows: - East (Trans Java and Bandung) direction Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road reached 436,378 vehicles, an increase of 228.62 percent from normal traffic. Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Bandung via GT Kalihurip Utama Cipularang Toll Road was recorded at 169,311 vehicles. This figure increased by 9.90 percent from normal traffic. "Jasa Marga also urges people who will travel back and forth via toll roads to ensure travel readiness, including meeting travel requirements, ensuring the condition of the driver and vehicle is in prime condition and roadworthy, preparing supplies and ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balance," he added.
