Primajasa Driver's Testimony Reveals Gran Max's Driver On The Deadly Contraflow Line Suddenly To The Right

KARAWANG - Primajasa Heri Bus Driver who was involved in a traffic accident on KM 58 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road had avoided the Gran Max vehicle which was suddenly in front of him. Gran Max suddenly turned right while in the contraflow lane towards Cikampek.

"I tried to avoid going left. Then behind like there was another vehicle and hit the left," said Heri, in Karawang as reported by ANTARA, Monday, April 8.

Heri recounted the beginning of the chronology of the deadly accident at KM 58 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, Karawang Regency, West Java.

He said the incident began when he was driving the Primajasa bus from Bandung to Jakarta.

According to him, at that time on the route from Cikampek to Jakarta, contraflow was being carried out. The two lanes used by travelers from Jakarta to Cikampek.

Arriving at kilometer 58, Heri admitted that he was surprised because suddenly Gran Max's vehicle on the contraflow route was in front of him, causing him to hit the front of the bus.

At that time, Heri admitted that he immediately avoided to the left and hit another vehicle. So that the bus suffered damage to the front of the car and also the left body of the car.

"I tried to avoid going left, Then on the back it was like there was another vehicle and hit the left," said Heri.

The deadly accident occurred on Monday morning when the contraflow was implemented at KM 58 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, involving three vehicles, namely the Primajasa Bus number B-7655-TGD, Grand Max number B-1635-BKT and Daihatsu Terios.

Gran Max's car, which is on the contraflow route, was about to pull over on the shoulder of the road, and entered the opposite lane leading to Jakarta.

Then the bus from Cikampek could not avoid the Gran Max vehicle, until finally an accident occurred until Gran Max's car caught fire. Then the Terios vehicle hit the bus and Gran Max until the car caught fire.

The police are still not confirming the number of victims as a result of the accident. However, for the time being, the number of victims who died was said to be 12 people.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy directly observed the process of identifying accident victims at the Jakarta-Cikampek KM 58 Toll Road at the Karawang Regional General Hospital (RSUD).

"Currently the process is still being carried out by the National Police Inafis to reveal the identity of the victim," said Muhadjir.

In accordance with the information received, the death toll from the accident amounted to 12 people who were passengers of two burning cars.

A total of 12 victims who died included seven men and five women.

All of the victims allegedly died at the scene, because they were roasted after the car they were traveling in caught fire due to the fire.
