One Way Cikampek Toll Road Km 72 To Kalikangkung GT Implemented, Homecoming Flow From Jakarta Is Dense

KARAWANG - Officers began engineering the one way traffic from KM 72 Cikampek (Cipali Toll Road) to KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) Batang-Semarang Toll Road on Friday night.

Lisye Octaviana, Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, said that the implementation of one way of police discretion began at 21.50 WIB.

The realization of the implementation of traffic engineering refers to the Joint Decree (SKB) of the Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, the Head of Traffic Police of the National Police and the Director General of Highways on March 5, 2024 concerning Road Traffic Regulation and Crossing During the Period of Homecoming and Backflow of Eid Transportation in 2024/1445H.

The application of one-way traffic engineering is based on data on the volume of vehicle traffic which has increased significantly from the direction of Jakarta to Semarang, in accordance with CCTV visual monitoring and reports from police officers in the field.

With the implementation of one way from KM 72 Cikampek, road users from the direction of Cikampek who go to Jakarta can still access GT Cikampek and GT Cikampek Utama to get to Jakarta.

Until now, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and MBZ Flyover heading east/Trans Java Toll Road were observed to be congested and from 18.52 WIB a contraflow of two lanes towards Cikampek from KM 47 to KM 70 had been implemented.

For road users who go through one way, the police urge the public to ensure that the condition of the vehicle and driver is in prime condition, prohibited from stopping at the shoulder of the road except in an emergency, prohibited from moving lanes, and prohibited from moving suddenly.

Prepare an e-toll balance of at least IDR 500,000 (class I) for trips from Jakarta to Semarang to avoid a balance shortage when making transactions at GT Kalikangkung.

Currently, GT Cikampek Utama operates optimally with 21 operational toll booths, additional 20 transaction assistance officers, eight traffic control officers and alerting 15 mobile reader units to serve transactions to the east (Trans Java).
