TNI AD: Change Of Pascaledakan Cheap Gud Is Still Being Processed

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak said compensation payments for residents whose houses were affected by the explosion of the Regional Ammunition Warehouse (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya, Ciangsana Village, Gunung Putri District, Bogor Regency, West Java are still ongoing.

"Changes have already been running. We saw yesterday that what I saw was that there were people who fled because they were afraid not because they were heavily damaged," Maruli said when met at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, April 5.

Maruli did not specify how many heads of families (KK) received compensation from the TNI. He also did not specify the average compensation costs incurred by the TNI.

He only ensured that until now the compensation process was still ongoing. "We have chosen which ones were damaged, we are trying to fix them," said Maruli briefly.

The Bogor Regency Government, West Java, noted that 31 houses were damaged by the explosion of the Regional Ammunition Warehouse (Gud cheap) Kodam Jaya.

"Temporary data there are 31 houses affected in the form of broken glass, cracked ceiling, cracked roof/polong," said Acting (Pj) Bogor Regent Asmawa Tosepu after conducting an assessment directly to the affected location on Mount Putri, Sunday (31/3).

According to him, the Bogor Regency Government has 14 days to assess starting from calculating the number of damaged houses, coordinating efforts to determining handling steps.

Asmawa revealed that the Bogor Regency Government is coordinating with the West Java Provincial Government and the Central Government to handle damaged houses.

"Of course it will be recorded first and then coordinated with the Central Government and the West Java Provincial Government for follow-up handling," said Asmawa.

Meanwhile, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto said that residents' houses affected by the Coal fire would be given compensation.

"Yes, of course, later we will do the data, we will be combed by the territorial apparatus who are now working. Later, if there is damage to people's homes, we will replace it," said Agus.
