JAKARTA - Professor of constitutional law at Padjadjaran University, Prof. Susi Dwi Harijanti, asked four ministers to be able to provide true and non-normative information in the follow-up trial of the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) at the Constitutional Court (MK).

"So from these ministers, it is hoped that information will be released that can be used by judges to carry out cross-examination (cross-examination of witnesses) against evidence and arguments that have been submitted by the applicants and related parties," said Susi as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.

Susi also hopes that the four ministers can show themselves loyal to the country, not the President, even though they are currently listed as assistants to the President.

"It is true that he is an assistant to the President, but he is a state official, his name is only a state official. So, the highest loyalty must be given to the state. Therefore, the statements that will be submitted by the ministers are for a large context that this is for the benefit of the state," he explained.

He then reminded that the sovereignty of the state is in the hands of the people, so the ministers must put themselves in good position.

"There are other greater obligations, namely the obligation to convey correct statements to judges, and that will show us all, how judges, how these ministers can also play an important role in upholding the principles of general elections regulated in the Basic Law," he said.

Previously, the Head of the Legal Bureau of Administration and Registrarship of the Constitutional Court, Fajar Laksono, confirmed that four ministers of the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet would attend the Constitutional Court. The summons of the four ministers has been stated in the hearing on Monday (1/4).

The four ministers presented at the Constitutional Court were Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini.
