Homecomers From Java Continue To Come To Bakauheni Port

Homecomers from Java are still arriving at Bakauheni Port, South Lampung today or D-6 Lebaran 2024.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring, Thursday at 15.00 WIB until 17.00 WIB, travelers can be seen using four-wheeled vehicles that want to get off the ship crammed into each other.

Although there is a density of four-wheeled vehicles that want to get out of the ship together, it does not cause a buildup of vehicles that take too long and look like they are running smoothly and safely.

Sahril, one of the travelers using a four-wheeled vehicle, said he chose to go home early to avoid traffic jams at Merak port, Banten.

"From Jakarta, I deliberately came home from work and went home because tomorrow I started taking a day off, and also to avoid congestion at Merak Port," Sahril said during an interview after getting off the ship, Thursday, April 4.

According to him, learning from the Eid homecoming in 2023, he felt a severe traffic jam at Merak Port, therefore he and his family chose to go home early.

"Like last year I went home closer to Eid al-Fitr when I was stuck in traffic for up to 12 hours and only got on a boat," he said.

For information, PT ASDP Bakauheni branch ensures the readiness of the ship fleet to serve passenger mobilization during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period in 2024.

PT ASDP has also prepared various port and ship facilities to ensure the comfort of passengers in the Eid homecoming in 2024.

General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Bakauheni Branch Rudi Sunarko appealed to crossing service users to be able to buy Ferizy tickets from far away.

"We urge prospective travelers from Sumatra to Java who will use ASDP crossing services to buy tickets from far away," he said.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has imposed a new provision for the purchase of connected ferry tickets starting December 11, 2023. This provision applies to Bakauheni Port, Merak Port, Ketapang Port, and Gilimanuk Port.

The new provision is that the ferry ticket booking can be made up to a maximum radius of five kilometers before the port.

This provision is stipulated in the Letter of the Director General of Hubdat AP.406/1/5/DJPD/2023 regarding the Arrangement of Electronic Ticket Ordering Services around the Port.
