Sementara itu, Wakil Presiden (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin menilai kasus mahasiswa Indonesia yang diduga menjadi korban tindak pidana perdagangan orang (TPPO) dengan modus magang ke Jerman memprihatinkan.Wapres melalui keterangan Biro Pers Sekretariat Wakil Presiden menganggap tindakan eksploitasi dan perdagangan manusia adalah hal yang memalukan dan merusak reputasi negara Indonesia."Saya kira ini sesuatu yang menjadi keprihatinan kita, itu juga mencoreng nama baik kita bangsa Indonesia dan lagi ini saya kira sesuatu yang memalukan itu," kata Wapres."Magang, tetapi di sana katanya bekerja, bahkan bekerjanya tidak ada hubungannya dengan tingkat akademiknya," katanya.Wapres pun menegaskan permasalahan tersebut harus diawasi dan ditangani guna menghindari hal serupa terjadi kembali di masa depan.
