Aoki Vera Defend Nurdin Abdullah, KPK: Don't Obscure Facts, KPK Has Evidence

JAKARTA - South Sulawesi Governor Nurdin Abdullah has many comments on the hand-catching operation (OTT) affairs on social media timelines. Later, Aoki Vera appeared who defended Nurdin Abdullah while questioning the KPK's performance, which Aoki Vera said was 'sleeping at noon'.

The public must digest all opinions that are deliberately raised, especially on social media. The handling of the case of the Governor of South Sulawesi Nurdin Abdullah is by legal procedures.

"The KPK asks parties not to obscure facts by forming opinions and assumptions that lead the public. The KPK also asks the public not to be affected and to continue to follow the investigation process that we are currently carrying out", said Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) spokesman Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, March 4.

Aoki Vera through his YouTube channel openly defends Nurdin Abdullah. He questioned the KPK OTT at Nurdin Abdullah's office on Saturday, 27 in the morning.

“The KPK, which was busy sleeping at noon suddenly jumped to South Sulawesi OTT with drama. Where the OTT was caught by a sleeping person”, said Aoki Vera.

The KPK emphasized that Aoki Vera's accusations were baseless. Ali Fikri emphasized that the KPK already had sufficient preliminary evidence according to the law to establish Nurdin Abdullah and friends as suspects.

"Efforts to corner the KPK are not only in this case, but the KPK remains focused and professional as proven by the verdict of the panel of judges which found the defendants guilty. For those who feel aggrieved, please take advantage of legal channels such as pretrial, the KPK ensures that they are ready to face the proposed lawsuit", said Ali Fikri.
