Pelindo Regional 3 Prepares 20 Terminals To Anticipate Passenger Surge

Senior Legal and Public Relations Manager of Pelindo Regional 3 Karlinda Sari, in a statement in Surabaya, Sunday, said the government predicted an increase in the number of travelers via sea routes after the addition of Eid holidays and collective leave by the government.

Therefore, his party has determined anticipatory steps, one of which is to prepare the passenger terminal as best as possible in each port.

"Preparations of various security and comfort facilities to health for travelers, both arriving and departing from each passenger terminal," said Karlinda. As for the prepared facilities, he said, including the waiting room for prospective passengers, the Lebaran Homecoming Command Post, the lactation space, the addition of check-in counters to the addition of guard officers as well as monitoring cameras to ensure safety for prospective travelers. In addition, his party also continues to coordinate with a number of stakeholders so that the 2024 Eid homecoming flow specifically through sea lanes can run smoothly. Karlinda explained that a number of main ports are predicted to experience significant passenger spikes compared to normal days, such as Tanjung Perak, Kumai, Batulicin, Sampit, Tenau Kupang to Tanjung Emas Semarang.
