TANGERANG - PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II Persero conducted a series of network reliability tests and electricity backup systems at all terminals of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta), Tangerang, Banten, in order to improve service and system reliability during the 2024 Eid Transport period.

Senior Manager of Branch Communication & Legal, M. Holik Muardi said this test aims to ensure the reliability of the supply of electricity supply and the resilience of the electricity system in the face of increased movement during the Eid transportation period.

According to him, the electrical system testing effort was carried out at Terminal 1, 2, 3 and several work buildings for the Soekarno-Hatta Airport KCU which had been carried out on 27 and 28 March 2024.

"By testing the electricity system as a whole, potential problems can be identified and ensuring that the operation and response time back upcatu of the backup power are ready to overcome it quickly and efficiently," he said.

He explained that this test included a 15-second power outage and a 30-minute Genset (/+) On Load Test in two testing sessions.

"We have run a series of comprehensive testing of the electrical system at the airport. This test includes testing generators and power outages for 15 seconds at a predetermined time. This test is of course carried out taking into account high safety standards and with good coordination with related parties," he said.

During the Eid Transport period, the management of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport KCU is committed to continuing to improve service and safety standards for all service users at the airport.

Meanwhile, after the Genset On Load Test process or the use of generators supplyed through MPS 2 & 3 reserves for 30 minutes, they were returned to the main supply after the testing process was successful.
