Ma'ruf Amin Doesn't Know About The Perpres Miras, PKS: Too Bad To Have A Competent Vice President But Not Invited To Discuss

JAKARTA - Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mardani Ali Sera, criticized the news of the issuance of Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2021 regarding alcohol investment, which was not known to the Vice President (Wapres) Ma'ruf Amin.

In uploading his social media account, the PKS politician admitted that he was concerned because the Vice President was not involved in drafting the Pepres. He also mentioned the cooperation between the President and the Vice President.

"For the good of the nation and state, the coordination of the leaders of the country should always go hand in hand and in communication. Do not be alone, let alone not be told like this. Duh #miris Not Involved in the Presidential Decree, Ma'ruf Amin is surprised that there is a alcohol investment regulation," wrote Mardani tweeted @MardaniAliSera, quoted by VOI, Wednesday, March 3.

What Mardani regretted was that the context of the rules was related to the vice president's knowledge.

"It is a loss and it is a shame that we have a vice president who is competent and knowledgeable, but is not invited to discuss the president in important state affairs," he wrote again.

According to him, if the state officials had minimal coordination, the government would not run smoothly.

"If managing a country like this, lacking coordination and without communication, it could result in chaotic decisions," he said.

Previously, the spokesperson for the Vice President Ma'ruf Amin, Masduki Baidlowi, said that the Vice President was not aware of any rules regarding investment in the liquor business in Presidential Decree No.10 of 2021 concerning the Investment Business Sector.

He revealed that the Vice President was not involved in the drafting of the Perpes. He said the Vice President was also surprised by the news about the alcohol regulation.

"That's why the vice president was shocked when he heard such busy news. Moreover, there was a direct attack on the vice president," said Masduki.

It is known that President Joko Widodo or Jokowi canceled Attachment III to Presidential Regulation No. 10/2021 on the Investment Business Sector regarding liquor licensing, Tuesday, March 2.

"I hereby convey, I have decided on the attachment to the Presidential Decree regarding the opening of new investment in the alcoholic liquor industry, I declare it is revoked," Jokowi said in a YouTube broadcast, Tuesday, March 2.

Jokowi said that this presidential regulation had provoked a lot of resistance in the community so that after receiving input from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Muhammadiyah and other mass organizations.
