JAKARTA - The presidential candidate who won the 2024 presidential election Prabowo Subianto received a gift of a painting with a coral image that was hit by waves from the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY).
Painting is given during a gathering and iftar with the elected president in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Wednesday, March 27.
Prabowo admitted that he was touched because SBY respected him so much that a painting entitled'standard firm like rocks' was specially made by the Chairman of the Democratic Party's High Council.
"So Mr. SBY, I am very touched because you respect me so much. With your own hands, you gave me a painting, it was an extraordinary honor," Prabowo said in his remarks at the Democratic Party's boarding house.
Pranowo then wanted to display a painting of SBY's gift at the Presidential Palace which he would later occupy after being officially sworn in as the 8th president.
"I will find a good place for this painting. Maybe in the new presidential palace," said Prabowo.
Prabowo also revealed that he and SBY have many similarities. One of them was trained by the 45th generation when he was still in Akabri.
