US Citizens In Bali Arrested For Trying To Kidnap Children In Bali

DENPASAR - A man from the United States (US) with the initials DCB (33) was arrested by the police for allegedly carrying out attempted child kidnapping.

The perpetrator was arrested because of reports from the victim's parents who were about to kidnap his eight-year-old child with the initials NPA. The actions of the perpetrator suspected of kidnapping have also gone viral on social media.

The Head of Public Relations of the Bali Police, Kombes Jansen Avitus Panjaitan, said that the perpetrators have now been detained at the Denpasar Police for further investigation, including looking for the perpetrator's motive and examining the perpetrator's psyche at the Prof. Central General Hospital (RSUP). Ngoerah in Denpasar, Bali.

"The person concerned has been secured at the Denpasar Police," said Kombes Jansen, Wednesday, March 27.

According to the chronology, on Monday (25/3) at around 13.30 WITA in the Kori Nuansa housing estate, Ungasan Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, the victim of NPA at that time with his cousin with the initials KN (8) went to a nearby shop and passed through the perpetrator's residence and met the perpetrator.

Seeing the victim, the perpetrator chatted in English, but the victim did not understand and suddenly the perpetrator pulled the victim's left hand with both hands and carried him and was taken by the victim into the yard and the perpetrator immediately locked the fence of his house.

Then, the perpetrator took a knife in the kitchen and the victim screamed for help but the perpetrator put his knife on the table and fortunately the aunt and uncle of the victim rushed to the perpetrator's house and then hit the gate until it opened.

"Furthermore, the victim ran out of the yard approaching her aunt and then the perpetrator was arrested," he added.

Then, the victim's parents reported the perpetrator to the Denpasar Police on suspicion of kidnapping so that the police immediately arrested the perpetrator.

"With this incident, we urge the public, especially parents and teachers at schools, to monitor the whereabouts of their children and their students at school. Let's take care of each other and remind each other, but don't panic, keep normal activities as usual and entrust the legal process of the perpetrators to the police," said Jansen.
