JAKARTA - The property development company owned by the late Eka Tjipta Widjaja, PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk (BSD), views the prospects for the property industry to improve in 2021. Moreover, the government has provided various incentives to increase economic growth, including property.

BSD Director, Hermawan Wijaya said that his party really appreciated the incentive policy, such as the 0 percent down payment policy for residential purchases. The government even eliminated the disbursement gradually so that the disbursement could be done all at once from the value of the Home Ownership Credit (KPR).

"This policy is very helpful for prospective buyers and developers", said Hermawan Wijaya in a written statement, quoted on Wednesday, March 3.

He said the various policies would ease property buyers who want to buy property on credit. And for developers, they will be able to increase their capital capacity and cash flow during this New Normal period.

"This year we will maximize the sales figure from the sales of units/lot of property that we have (organic growth). For the residential area, we are targeting pre-sales of IDR 4.4 trillion", said Hermawan Wijaya.

He added that the commercial area segment, part of Sinar Mas Land, will be supported by sales of apartments and shophouses worth IDR 1.6 trillion. Residential areas that are targeted to make a positive contribution are: BSD City, Nava Park and The Zora in BSD City, Grand Wisata, Kota Wisata, Grand City Balikpapan, Taman Banjar Wijaya and Legenda Wisata.

As for the commercial areas that are targeted to make a positive contribution, including: BSD City commercial area, The Element Apartment, Southgate Apartment, Akasa Apartment and Upper West in BSD City, Aerium Apartment and Klaska Residence.
